I am a 20 year old student in Exeter, from London.
French is my mothertongue, and I have been speaking English for over 10 years now (since moving to England) and am definitely fluent.
I did Spanish for 10 years also, but at school (GCSEs and ALevels), so it is limited to that and the occasional trips to spanish speaking countries. I can read, write and understand most Spanish though.
I am currently learning Arabic at universty as I definitely have a passion for learning new languages, I believe communicaton is an important aspect of life, especially, in my case, if you want to understand other cultures and people around you.
It is definitely a worth-while passion to me as I believe it allows us to view and understand the world we live in from different perspectives, bringing communities together through physical demonstrations of personal and internal impulses.
As I have such a passion for languages, I enjoy teaching them to others, and although I have never seriously or professionally tutored someone for a long time, I believe I will have the aptitude to do a good job, having studed 4 languages in different environments (French educaton system, British educaton system (ALevels and GCSEs) and British university teaching) I believe I have a grasp of knowledge of different teaching styles and methods when it comes to learning languages, and we can find one that works for and suits the person I am working with.
To give an idea of the method I would employ, firstly assess the student's level, get an idea of their weaknesses as well as their strengths, see with regards to their curriculum (if they are studying through school) what needs to be worked on and I will in my own time write up work sheets and exercises to suit the student. As I said before, everyone is different and has different methods of learning (And teaching), so it really comes down to a personal preference.
