I am just started my novel job as an RF engineer at RFS-Lannion. I was a researcher and academic staff in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications, University of Vigo, Spain, and fully expect to complete my contract by February 2018. Before this contract, I was granted the Erasmus Mundus Green IT International Fellowship starting from September 2013.

My academic background and the seven years of experience working as a researcher and academic staff prepare me to be an effective doctor engineer in your department. My doctoral dissertation, conducted with Dr. Ana Vazquez Alejos and Dr. Otman Aghzout, revolved around the development of advanced techniques suitable to design planar filters and antennas for multi-frequency and UWB systems. In my research, I had developed a solid knowledge on RF/Antenna Design, modeling and characterization with Strong circuit-field simulation skills based on Microwave EDA and 3D-Electronagnitic tools. As laboratory activities, I was making, testing and measuring RF prototypes using microwave network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes. In addition, I worked as a researcher visitor in Metamaterials and Metasurfaces techniques with two international RF experts: Dr. Francisco Falcone from the Public University of Navarra, Spain and Dr. Stefano Maci from the University of Siena, Italy. In the first internship, I worked on the design of novel Matematerial structures applied for performance enhancement of compact filters and antennas. For the second internship, I investigated the implementation of a 3D-printed Modulated Metasurface Leaky Wave Antenna for X-band satellite communications.
Parallel to my Thesis works, I participated in several projects managed by my research group in Vigo such as the implementation of a Patch Array Antenna For 28/60 GHz Package Applications, characterization of Near-Ground Radio Propagation Channel for Wireless Sensor Network with Application in Smart Agriculture and designing Multi-Layer Antennas for Satellite Communications with Improved Radiation Properties. I would enjoy discussing this, among other projects of wireless sensor network and satellite communication systems.
The value of my research works in terms of novelty and relevance of the field is attested by the acceptance of the appended international papers and the referred international conference proceedings through an established scientific reviewing process. I published more than 12 journal papers and 15 conference papers. I had developed my knowledge and communication skills by attending several Ph.D. courses and I have been the responsible speaker for all the international conference papers I co-authored.
I’m a reviewer for the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Journal (ACES), IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL), International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks (IJDSN), International Journal of Antennas and Propagation, International Journal of Electronics and Communications.
After my engineering graduation, I was also fortunate enough to have served as a professor for three different engineering schools and assisting students with projects and assignments. I have taught Analysis of linear circuit (Physics) including courses, simulation, and experimental practice, in the Telecommunications Engineering School, University of Vigo. Before that, I was a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Computer Science (Sup’ISI), Tetouan-Maroc, where I gave courses related to database administration and project management. In addition, I was a system administrator and a faculty member at the IT department of the ENS-Martil, Abdelmalek Essaadi University. I successfully supervised projects and trainees with my students and I have been a committee member for some final projects defenses. These experiences have built my confidence and an interest in teaching, and I look forward to the opportunity to not only teach existing courses but also to work in developing new ones. My objectives as a teacher are to motivate my students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking (add more things). I believe that clear and open communication with students are a key element in helping them learn and I think also that out-of-the-classroom education is the perfect complement to classroom learning.
