Hello. My name is Jemma Lauren but you can call me Jemma, Jem, Lauren (whichever is most comfortable for you). I am 29 years old. I was born in the United Kingdom. My family is very small and consists of my parents and my younger brother and the family pet.

I have lived and worked in various parts of France depuis 2015 on and off. I love animals (especially cats) and travelling.

I have experience working with young children, teenagers and adults although I specialize in early years language acquisition. I also have experience working with children that have special needs and with families of faith (Christianity, Judaism, Muslim etc). I am very open minded and always willing to learn family customs.

My main method of teaching involves full immersion meaning I will only speak in English with your child and if possible you. I encourage parents to be involved in the learning process.

I like to arrange sorties and activités for the children to experience new things. I enjoy activities such as tir à l’arc, patinage sur glace, art, histoire, lire, cuisiner, couture (I know how to use a machine à coudre and tricoter, and have taught children as young as 6ans this skill). I also love discovering new things.

As a bonus I have experience in providing physical and emotional support to children, young adults and adults (Trauma Informed Practice). I am always happy to sit and listen.

I am fully trained in Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding Children and Adults, Fire Safety and more.
I have a diploma in Residential Childcare (Lvl 3)

I am looking to boost my experience teaching English as a foreign language. I have a strong understanding of French in the following areas (Reading, Writing and Listening) but I find speaking in French difficult, although it is improving. I am a native English speaker.
Due to recently obtaining my diploma I am currently back in the UK but am looking to return for the new school year meaning I am available to move to wherever the next step of my journey takes me
